How do I Join?

This is a private Community about Homeschoolers, for Homeschoolers, created and maintained by Homeschoolers.

Sharing information with each other:

To be able to share information on this site you will have to be logged in as an approved and moderated member of the Community. This is imperative so that all information entered here is safe for our families. There is absolutely no fee for joining and being part of myWorldSchool Community.

Community Groups

"Community Groups" are the fundamental building blocks of this site. No one can add content to the site without joining a Group (monitored by the Group Leader).

You may join or create different Community Groups and do a whole mess of things, all kept private to that particular groups' members:

    1. Share Photos & Videos,
    2. Have On-line Discussions,
    3. Create Events to arrange play dates, outings, classes, field trips,
    4. Send messages to all or some of your Group (or only those attending your event!)
    5. Or just hanging out to exchange information about common interests.

It's very similar to what a lot of us have done on other public sites like Yahoo and Google, except much easier an it's your site and you have the control of it. (And of course you are not giving a corporation all your information that they sell or use to bombard you with advertisements!)

How to join:

The process of joining a myWorldSchool Group takes a bit of time, but these steps are necessary to prevent the wrong people from being able to add and share information here.

    1. The first step is to "register" with us. Please know that your information will not be shared with anyone outside this community. Please use your real name so that you can be approved by people who know you.(see our Privacy Policy)
    2. Once registered you will be able to "LOG IN", click on "Find Groups" and click on the Groups' Map Pins to join Groups in your area.

Please note: If you are not personally known to the Group Leader, you will be interviewed and admitted at their discretion. If you cannot find a Group that suits you needs and would like to start one, click "New Group" here.

We have divided the Community Groups into five Sections:

    1. Inclusive (Groups that welcome any political or religious persuasion)
    2. Classical (Groups that follow clear academic guidelines)
    3. Religious (Groups that follow a specific religion)
    4. Secular (Groups that follow no religion)
    5. Unschooling(Groups that follow the everyday path of life)

There is no limit on the number of Groups or Sections you may join.

If you can...

Please consider taking a few minutes to help pay for all the programming and server costs. Every little bit helps, especially the $5 - $10 donations!
